Course overview:

The aim of the Practical Numerical Analysis course is to give an introduction to some common algorithms used in Numerical Analysis. Topics covered include quadrature, rootfinding and the numerical solution of ODEs and PDEs. The lectures will go over the mathematical theory with a focus on how a practical implementation might proceed. There will be two associated problem sheets which will require programming in Python.
